The starting point was a initial trip to Kenya for the account of another organisation. The task was to document a project and provide picture material. That job was a few days worth of work. The rest of the time I spent trying to capture the continent of Africa the best way I could.
At the time I was not aware of the tasks and struggle people hav to got through just to survive from one day to another. I was taking spectacular pictures of "exotic" situations, not really understanding that the sitiuations for many of those I was photographing life was a true struggle. Impressive pictures to bring home that would lift the eyebrows of whom ever I was to share with, yet the true content of the pictures drowned in the ooohs and aaahhs. Halfway into this first visit on the continent I was exposed to a village that changed my life. Lomolo A is where I would nominate the place for where it begun. In my next post that is where I will be.

As a full-time photographer I am open for challenges preferably within any charity organisation that may be in need of picture documentary journalism.
